Our Header Photo
Site Visitors keep asking what our site header photo is “all about”. When we built the site we were looking for an image that gave us the sense of a “doorway” or “portal” into a “warm and welcoming place”. Going through my archive of photos I came across this image of a submerged wharf (you can see the woodgrain beneath the surface of the water) and mooring ring (also below the water) where you would tie off your boat.
The image is authentic (not an artifical construct) and incorporates the “warmth and light” of the sun with the “healing/tranquil” qualities of water. One of my favourite and most rejuvenating destinations is a summer cottage by the water (an Ontario and Quebec, Canada tradition).
