“It only takes a few to change to course of evolution” (Capra, 2010; Gladwell, 2001, 2008)
It is every person’s wish that human evolution will be driven towards a society based on universal love, virtuous behaviour and ultimate life satisfaction. Human beings strive to meet ‘states of higher functioning’ and ‘heightened consciousness’ often attempting to access these through religious or spiritual practices. Research shows that the pursuit of happiness through short term pleasures such as wealth, power and status is ineffective and life satisfaction across the life span in now more desirable. In the quest for happiness humans often question
What is life really about?
What am I doing here?
What does life really want from me?
Many people have turned to religious and spiritual practices in order to reach higher states of functioning that they believe will result in more satisfaction. In an attempt to reach Utopia or a higher enlightened state people adopted behaviours that might place them in the eternal ‘being’ state of perfect consciousness, where a state of everything and nothing exists all at the same time, an idea discussed by Neale Donald Walsch in ‘Conversations with God’. (Neale, 1997) In this place the world continues to go by, and continues to evolve and change, with or without our input.
Andrew Cohen’s work revolutionised this traditional philosophy of evolution where he discussed the application of ‘Becoming’ in terms of how one exists within the context of human evolution. Becoming people consciously keep things moving forward and work towards a society of enlightened people meaningful.
He states our intentional purpose is to contribute to the evolution of mankind through grasping and mastering our Creative Impulse*. The beauty of the process distinguishes the ‘Creative’ rather than the ‘staticness’ of human behaviour; or put another way it facilitates the ‘beingness into action’. (Cohen, 2001)
The booming commotion of Existence that rolls, in the bosom of the Beyond, evolves into a thrilling rhyme, and upheaves into a shooting Becoming of the Being with echoes that float with an embodiment of Energy- that is Logos, the Word, – the Beginning!” – Sri Sri Thakur 1
Dr. Martin Seligman, as American Psychology Association president, researcher and author of Authentic Happiness proposed the “51″ Goal for Positive Psychology: By the year 2051 to have 51% of world flourishing. Today’s baseline is 15.2%, as measured with the set of attributes that Seligman calls PERMA (Positive Emotions, Engagement, Positive Relationships, Meaning, and Accomplishment).
Lorna Smith Benjamin of University Of Utah, said at the American Psychological Association 2007 Convention Presentation that “people are helped most if they can learn to recognize and change their interpersonal and intrapsychic patterns and processes, however they also have to learn how to challenge old urges and injunctions, and how to learn new patterns.”
Here at The Centre for Creative Evolution we support others who want to be engaged and in action by stepping into their ‘Becoming’.
“…to let their creative impulse/innate strengths rise up, to fully see it in oneself and in others and to train our eyes and minds in those practices.” (Adapted from Zen Romanticism thesis)
We know that when people rise to the challenge and connect with their purpose, not only do they become aligned with fulfilment and joy but they contribute to the wellbeing of the whole planet. Our role is to evolve and inspire others to make a real difference to where we are heading evolutionarily. Theories of universal consciousness state ‘what we do for one, we do for all’.
‘what we do for one, we do for all’
As evolutionists we are committed to others discovering who they are and how they can maximise their authentic mission in life. Our portal provides a meeting place, community and living breathing opportunity for you to grow and contribute to other peoples lives around the world.
We at the CFCE feel the pull and have consciously chosen to create a space that supports not only our own creative evolution, but in support of those who also want to join us.
Our philosophy is based on the guiding principle of positive psychology immersed with spiritual and holistic becoming. We too are on our mission of becoming that is based on 40000 years of evolutionary thought encoded into our genes.

*We are not all fired up by the same things, and that is a good thing, however the pull to create, grow and move forward is the same in all of us, no matter what we choose to do in life. This Evolutionary Impulse it is said can only be experienced through action, engagement and forward movement.
